TAR for wood protection
Obtained from wood pyrolysis, it serves as a natural wood preservative. Used for wood impregnation, makes the top layer of wood resinous, which prevents moisture from soaking into it. Protects the wood from rotting and insects. According to EU Directive can be used for wood bio protection. Particularly suitable for the protection of wood in contact with water or soil. Can be used for protection of fence posts, outdoor patios, wooden tiles, boats, bridges, berths, etc. Not recommended for interior use and for pre-painted or varnished wood.
Usage: Wood surface should be dry and clean. To improve tar absorption capacity, it can be heated or turpentine can be added. Absorption time depends on the type, moisture and environmental conditions of the wood. It’s necessary to gain full tar absorption, the surface should remain dry. Tools are to be washed with turpentine.
Consumption: Depending on wood moisture, type and surface treatment 3-5m²/l.
Storage: In original packaging, in temperature from 5°C to 30°C stored for – see the labelling. Do not freeze. Stir well before use.
